The search for a missing Elk Creek man ended at about 8:20 a.m. Sunday where it started the previous afternoon: At Highways H and 137.
Authorities said 80-year-old Elmer Bradford is safe after being seen near the intersection, but will be checked out by a Texas County Memorial Hospital ambulance crew.
EARLIER: The search for a missing 80-year-old Elk Creek man is under way for a second day as volunteers from several agencies gather.
Authorities said Elmer Bradford hasn’t been seen since about noon Saturday from his residence near Highways H and 137.
Volunteers from several agencies braved three-digit temperatures to begin searching yesterday afternoon.
The Raymondville Fire Department, Tyrone Fire Department and Texas County Sherrif’s Department are involved in the effort.
A staging area is situated at the Bradford home. Fire departments from Summersville and Clear Springs also have joined the search.
