Lou Lane

Lou Ella Robbins Lane, 74, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1937, at Duke, daughter of Thomas Pinkney and Maudie 
Leola Brookshire Robbins. She and Harold E. Lane were married Dec. 27, 1952.

She and her husband served six years as house
parents for many young men at Boys’ Town of Missouri.

She took pride in maintaining her home, flowers and garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jim, Boone, George and Tom; and five sisters, Frances Smith, Mary Welch, Clara Jones, Ann McIntosh, and Lillian Snider.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Harold; a son, Phillip of Licking; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rozella Smith of Licking, Ethel
Shabaghlian of North Hollywood, Calif., and Elsie Taylor of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and a special friend, Hazel Willey of Williamsburg, Va.

Services were Monday, Feb. 6, at Licking Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Hurt officiating. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery under direction of Fox Funeral Home.
