Plato's Miles From Nowhere Band entertains the large crowd in attendance at the Lucky Dog and Cool Cat Gala March 9 at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce community building. The event was a fundraiser for The Animal Shelter of Texas County.

A capacity crowd of more than 300 people enjoyed a benefit concert by country music artist Candy Coburn and her band March 9 in the community building at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce fairgrounds during The Animal Shelter of Texas County’s Lucky Dog and Cool Cat Gala.

Attendees of the sold-out fundraiser not only took in the Coburn show, but also enjoyed musical entertainment by Plato’s Miles From Nowhere Band, won prizes, ate a multi-course meal, and more.

“There were so many people involved in making this such a successful event,” TASTC president Rita Romines said. “We can’t thank all of them enough.”
