Missing money was the motive behind a Licking stabbing, authorities say.

A Texas County officer investigated a stabbing at a Licking residence.

A 31-year-old Licking man reported March 28 his 26-year-old girlfriend had stabbed him at their Mallard Drive residence.

The officer stated that when he went to the location to investigate, and the woman told him she had stabbed the man in the right arm with a pen because $200 was missing from her bank account.

Both people told the officer they didn’t want to press charges.
