Limited tickets remain for Friday’s Building 429 concert in Houston.
The 7 p.m. event inside Hiett Gymnasium on the Houston High School campus will also feature Manic Drive. The concert is hosted by the local youth ministry Undivided Hearts.
Building 429 is one of the top artists in Christian music. The group’s single “Where I Belong” spent a record-setting 15 weeks at the top of the charts.
Tickets are $10 in advance through Thursday night or $15 at the door. VIP tickets that include early entry at 5 p.m., preferred location near the stage and a question-and-answer session with Building 429 are $20.
Tickets can be purchased locally at the Houston Herald or Rod’s Auto. They are also available online at http://www.itickets.com/events/287360.html.
“We anticipate we will have tickets available at the door Friday night” said Jeff McNiell of Undivided Hearts. “But there’s also a chance we won’t. We encourage everyone interested in attending to purchase their tickets in advance to assure they are able to attend this incredible event that is certain to be a memorable, uplifting and encouraging night.”
Building 429 set a new record June 24 on the Billboard National Christian Audience chart with “Where I Belong” holding the top spot for 15 consecutive weeks. It surpassed songs by tobyMac and Phillips, Craig Dean, who held the top spot on the Billboard NCA chart for 11 straight weeks. In addition, the song maintained top billing on the Billboard AC Monitored chart for 11 consecutive weeks and was No. 1 for multiple weeks on the Christian CHR chart.
The group has maintained one of its busiest tour seasons yet, kicking off 2012 with a 47-city “Winter Jam” tour, which saw attendance exceeding 500,000. Building 429 will go on to make appearances at summer festivals including AtlantaFest, ALIVE Festival, Ichthus Music Festival, LifeLight Festival, Kingdom Bound, Unity Music Festival, JFest, and others, while hosting international tour dates in Canada, Denmark, Norway and the Philippines. The band will also head out this fall on Newsboys’ “God’s Not Dead” tour before joining Newsong’s 2012 Christmas tour.
“We are fortunate and blessed to have such a big name in Christian music come to Houston,” McNiell said.
