Connie Sue Young Harmon, 59, died Friday, July 6, 2012, at West Vue Nursing Home in West Plains.

She was born April 27, 1953, in Summersville, daughter of Amuel Evans and Lillian Ilene Honeycutt Young Platts. She and Danny Harmon were married May 20, 1972, at Summersville Christian Church.

She attended school in Summersville and Richland. She graduated from Summersville High School in 1971.

She and her husband, Danny, lived in Kansas City. She worked at Montgomery Ward and later at Research Hospital.

She played guitar and was the lead singer in various bands, most notably the band “Jigsaw.” She also worked as a nanny and manager and sales person for Beaus and Eros.

She was preceded in death her father, Amuel Young; a brother, Gary Gene Young; and a sister, Linda Arlene DeWitt.

Survivors include two daughters, Casie Danille Harmon of Kansas City and Sarah Beth Harmon of Minneapolis, Minn.; a grandson; her mother, Lillian Ilene Platts; two brothers, Daryl Young of Mountain Home, Ark., and Steven Young of Kansas City; a sister, Vicki Warren of Mountain Home, Ark.; and numbers other family members and friends.

Services were Sunday, July 8, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Green officiating. Burial was in Summersville City Cemetery.
