Military veteran

Lloyd R. Alley, 92, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 9, 1920, near Maples, son of Orren and Lenna Martin Alley. He and Luella Kathleen Sisk were married Feb. 16, 1946, in St. Louis.

He enjoyed raising Polled Herefords and farming.

He was a member of the American Polled Hereford Association, Licking VFW Post # 6337 and had served on the Farmers Exchange board of directors.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pauline Gravesen.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; a son, James L. Alley of Licking; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were Thursday, July 19, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robb Webster and Grant Heithold officiating. Burial with full military honors was in Licking Cemetery.
