A Licking man was arrested Thursday on a county warrant and now faces additional charges.

A Licking man faces new charges after authorities went to his home on Thursday morning to arrest him on a warrant and found him in possession of illegal drugs.

At about 10 a.m., a Licking officer and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers went to an address on Green Street to attempt service of a felony arrest warrant on Gary R. Riley, 44. Riley was wanted on a Texas County warrant charging him with possession of controlled substances. He was home when the officers arrived, and a search of his person revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine and prescription pills, authorities said.

Riley was arrested on the warrant and for possession of controlled substances and was taken to the Texas County Jail.
