A Willow Springs man who was one of 43 people charged in the recent multi-agency drug sweep involving the Texas County Sheriff’s Department was arrested Sept. 12 by the Houston Police Department for having an active Howell County warrant for unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.
Kyle M. Lemasters, 30, of 305 N. Grand St. at Willow Springs, was arrested at the Missouri Private Probation office after a report was received that he was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was unable to post $10,000 bond, and was later extradited to Howell County.
At about 8:45 p.m. Sept. 14, an officer responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 63 in front of Hocker Oil.
While speaking to one of the drivers, the officer smelled alcohol and conducted sobriety tests. Diana May, 47, of Dittmer, was subsequently issued citations for driving while intoxicated and failure to yield right of way.
