Donald Franklin House, 79, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at his home in Summersville.
He was born Feb. 27, 1933, in Mountain View, son of Edgar and Opal Brewington House. He married Betty Houston. He later married Ella “Pat” Patterson on Sept. 23, 2006.
He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-’53.
He enjoyed going to church, his family, golfing, gardening and cutting wood.
He and his wife, Pat, made their home in Summersville and were members of Midvale Pentecostal Church in Summersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty House; and three brothers, Jerome House, Wayne House and Bill House.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of the home; three children; Karen Luraschi of Kirkwood, Mike House of Fenton and Christine Finnegan of Crestwood; six grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
Services were Thursday, Oct. 25, at Midvale Church in Summersville with the Rev. Emmett and the Rev. James Bradford officiating. Services were under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
