Tickets will be available at the door for tonight’s Christian rock concert hosted by Undivided Hearts, organizers announced.
The Keep It Loud tour featuring Fireflight, KJ-52, 7eventh Time Down, Spoken and George Moss begins at 7 p.m. inside Hiett Gymnasium. The cost is $15 per ticket. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Undivided Hearts formed in the fall of 2011 and is comprised of youth leaders from several area churches. The group hosted Fireflight and Rapture Ruckus in concert in February and Building 429 and Manic Drive in June. More than 1,400 people combined attended the two concerts.
The Keep It Loud Tour, according to its website, is “an annual Christian rock and urban music tour put together by musicians who love loud energetic music that speaks to the heart, praises our Creator and seeks to give hope and meaning to this generation. It is a vision to see the church, the bride and body of Christ, keep their faith loud.”
Fireflight, which headlined a sold-out concert the last time the group performed in Houston, released its fourth record, NOW, since its last appearance. The group has had multiple No. 1 singles and consistently been at the top of the Christian music charts since debuting in 2006.
KJ-52, which is pronounced “five two,” not “fifty-two,” is a Christian rapper from Tampa, Fla., whose name is a reference to the Biblical story of Jesus feeding the multitude with five loaves and two fish. He has won four Dove Awards – three in the “rap/hip hop album of the year” category.
The Kentucky-based foursome of 7eventh Time Down has earned a reputation for shredding stages across the country with their high-powered live show. Spoken is an alternative rock band from Fayetteville, Ark., that has toured overseas many years and became popular in the United States with the recent single “Dagger.” George Moss, who has been a hype man for KJ-52 and performed “Do The Bill Cosby” with him, released the album “It’s Time” on Oct. 16.
