Share Your Christmas is under way in Teas County. The drive helps children who need a boost at the holidays.

As this year’s version of Share Your Christmas winds to a close, the charitable campaign designed to help needy children at Christmas is having an impact of many Texas County residents.

As of Monday morning, 288 children from 123 families are receiving help through the program.

Share Your Christmas representatives said that thanks to a generous donation of new toys from an anonymous source last weekend, each child not previously “adopted” or helped through and Angel Tree should have a new toy.

Volunteers will continue working through Christmas Eve to get all gifts distributed. Last-minute donations of children’s clothing, shoes or coats would still be welcomed, or cash to purchase them. Donations are still being accepted Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Share Your Christmas headquarters in the basement of the Lions Club Den on North U.S. 63.
