The first baby of 2013 beat her twin brother by 1 hour, 29 minutes on New Year’s Day.
Allison Rene Turnbull was born at 4:31 a.m. Monday morning at Texas County Memorial Hospital. Her twin brother, Braxton, arrived at 6 a.m. They are the children of Samantha and Brandon Turnbull of Cabool.
Allison weighed five pounds, 12 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. Braxton weighed five pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. Dr. Charlie Rasmussen, physician at the TCMH Medical Complex in Houston, delivered the twins.
The twins join their big sister, Korina, in the Turnbull home. Korina is almost three years old.
Representatives of the TCMH Auxiliary presented gifts and gift certificates to Allison and her parents after her birth. Businesses and individuals throughout the county donated the gifts to the Auxiliary to present to the first baby born in 2013.
