The Houston Police Department cited a Houston man on Jan. 6 after he allegedly struck his mother in the face.
Dustin H. Fithen, 26, of 302 W. Mill St. in Houston, was issued citations for third-degree assault and peace disturbance after an afternoon incident at a residence on Grand Avenue in Houston.
An officer was dispatched to the home at about 2:30 p.m. and heard yelling coming from inside. A 49-year-old woman who lives there told the officer her son, Fithen, had asked her to make his child support payment, and when she declined he had yelled and hit her in the face.
The investigating officer reported that two other people at the scene confirmed that they had witnessed the assault.
After being cited, Fithen was advised not to return to his mom’s house.
