A Summersville man was arrested Thursday, Jan. 3, on eight different counts, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Steven S. Smith, 36, of Summersville, has been charged with several offenses after being arrested at about 7 a.m. Thursday in Shannon County.

The patrol said Smith had three active Shannon County felony warrants (two for non-support and one for driving while intoxicated), an active Texas County warrant for driving without a valid license, and was charged with resisting arrest by fleeing, driving while revoked, failure to stop at a stop sign, no insurance, failure to register a motor vehicle and no seat belt.

Smith was taken to the Shannon County Jail and held without bond.
