Miriam Law Brewer, 91, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Mountain View Health Care.

She was born March 16, 1921, in Muscatine, Iowa, daughter of Louis Anson Law and Pearl Mae Knapp Law. She and Harold “Chubby” Burdell Brewer were married in Woodstock, Ill.

She retired from Woodstock Die Casting Company, where she was a union steward and inspector.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Summersville. She served as pianist for 15 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting and staying in touch with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chubby; three brothers; two sisters; and three grandsons.

Survivors include two sisters, Marie Henley of Seymour and Betty Jones of Farmington, W.V.; two daughters, Charlotte Siedsma of Summersville and Carlie Choyinski of Johnsburg, Ill.; two sons, Chip Brewer of Eminence and Chuck Brewer of Symrna, Fla.; a special friend, Barbara Rasmussen of Woodstock, Ill.; and many extended family members.

Memorial services were Monday, Feb. 25, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel.
