University Extension in Texas County and the Fruit Experiment Station of Mountain Grove have partnered to offer a free pruning demonstration at 1 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Texas County Justice Center orchard in Houston. It is on the south side of the building off Spruce Street.
John Avery of the MSU will highlight the basics of the correct method of pruning fruit trees. Winter is the time to prune many trees, including fruit trees for superior growth in the spring, organizers said.
