Bobby Gene Walser, 81, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 11, 1931, in Fayette, son of James William and Cassie Green Walser.
Bob worked in a steel plant in the Kansas City area. He loved music and enjoyed each time musicians visited the Houston House.
He loved his church and time spent worshiping the Lord there. He attended as long as his health permitted. He had accepted Jesus as his Savior.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Thelma; a brother, Tilford Dale Walser; and his second wife, Roberta Dutton Walser in 2005.
Survivors include two brothers, James Hal Walser of Waverly and Harold Leon Walser of Tyrone; and several other family members.
Services were Monday, April 29, at Life Church with Pastor Nick Melton officiating. Burial was in Waverly Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
