Firefighters from three Texas County volunteer departments responded to fire Monday night that completely gutted a mobile home on Highway H in Tyrone.
Authorities said Tyrone and Raymondville each sent five firefighters and two trucks to the scene, and Clear Springs sent one truck and four people. Raymondville also brought a rescue vehicle that was not needed.
Tyrone’s response time was reportedly only about 10 minutes from the time the department received the call at 9:36 p.m., because the fire was near the firehouse, but by the time trucks arrived the home it was already a loss.
The trailer home was reportedly owned by Esther Hall, and nobody was home at the time of the fire. The cause of the blaze is not known.
