While doing follow-up work Wednesday morning at a woman’s residence, Houston police discovered multiple types of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.
Officer Brad Evans reported that Sherry A. Sullins, 28, of 306 Skyview Terrace in Houston, was arrested after officers went to her apartment to follow up with the Houston Housing Authority officials on an incident that occurred there the previous Friday evening involving damage to a door and window. While there, the officers asked for and received consent to search the home.
Evans said several illegal items were subsequently discovered and seized, including a bag of white powder that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, another bag of white powder that field-tested positive for cocaine, a bag of leafy material believed to be marijuana, and devices used to smoke both meth and pot.
As a result, Sullins is charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance (one each for the meth and the cocaine), a felony charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia (for meth smoking devices), a misdemeanor possession charge (for the pot), and a misdemeanor paraphernalia charge (for marijuana smoking gear).
Sullins was taken to the Texas County Jail and held on $250,000 bond.
