Relief Share is seeking volunteers for a project involving Shriners Hospitals for Children.

A local organization is seeking volunteers to help make twin-size quilts for Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Since January, 44, 70 x 90 inch ones have been made, but Relief Share still has 196 to go and needs local volunteers to assist, said Carol Green of the organization.

Volunteers gather from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday in the gym at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at North U.S. 63 and Highway E. The organization has sewing machines and sergers, but those helping are welcome to bring their own. Rotary cutters, mats and scissors also can be brought.
