The Texas County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a workshop on establishing forages with a no-till drill at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the First Christian Church in Houston.
Program highlights will be preparing for no-till seeding, soil fertility and pH adjustments, chemical seedbed preparation, proper seeding dates and rates, insect and weed control, drill calibration and adjustments and proper drilling techniques.
