EVA TARRANTS

Eva Geary Tarrants was born in Henning, Tenn., on Nov. 11, 1927, to Archie and Arbutry Geary and passed away on July 6, 2013.

She graduated from the St. Louis School of Nursing in 1948 and worked as a Registered Nurse in Tulare, Calif., for 44 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Tarrants; her brother, James; and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Scott, her husband, Al, of Houston, Mo.; her son, Steven Tarrants, his wife, Cecilia, of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandsons; and great-grandson, Colin Davis, of Roseville, California.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend and nurse. Some of her hobbies were spoiling her grandsons when they were growing up, gardening and raising lots of beautiful flowers. She also spent many hours doing embroidery, which were enjoyed and admired by many. She had a great love for animals, especially her little beagle, Bugger.

In addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandson, she is survived by her sister, Betty Jo Geary of Porterville, Calif., and a brother, Everett Geary of Terra Bella, California.

Cremation was handled by St. Louis Cremation and interment will be at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, John. The family plans to meet together at the cemetery at a later date.
