Willow Springs artist Michael McClure will be showing some recent paintings in oils and watercolors at the West Plains Civic Center Mezzanine Gallery. The theme of the show is “The Grand Tetons.”
These paintings were done during and after his July trip to Grand Tetons National Park. During his 10 day stay at the park, McClure completed 30 paintings of mountains, streams, cabins, wildlife, and even downtown Jackson Hole. Other works were done afterward using photos shot on location. There will be a few larger works, and mostly small pieces priced affordably.
This is an opportunity for area residents to get a glimpse of one of America’s most iconic national parks, seen through the eyes of a skilled nationally known artist. The show will be on display beginning Tues. Aug. 13 and run through Sunday Sept. 1st.
