William M. “Bill” Jackson, 74, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, in Cabool.
He was born Aug. 25, 1938, in Zach, Ark., son of Chepas and Mary Jackson.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He had many hobbies, including woodworking and dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Linda Jackson; a daughter, Mary Leota; five brothers, E.J. Jackson, Buddy Jackson, Leon McCormick, Jack McCormick and Charles McCormick; and three sisters, Donna Blackwell, Mildred Harris and Janet King.
Survivors include his wife, Phyliss Jackson; a son, Jeff Jackson; a daughter, Debra Farr; a stepdaughter, Gina Williams; two stepsons, Elvin and Buck Corter; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Snowball Jackson and Delbert McCormick; five sisters, Rossetta Sherill, Mildred Keene, Marie Mauzy, Marlene Pace and Judy Turley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
A celebration of his life for friends and family is 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the home of Ron and Debra Farr.
