Christopher “C.J.” Blane Wood Jr., an infant, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.
He was born March 12, 2013, son of Christopher Sr. and Lacy Jo Wilbanks Wood.
He had a huge following on the social media network Facebook as people followed daily updates, photos and videos. He will provide help to others in need through the donation of his heart valves and arteries.
Survivors include his parents; maternal grandparents, Michael and Jodie Wilbanks, of Summersville; paternal grandparents, Debbie Wilcox of Fort Mill, S.C., and Blane Wood of Derby, Kan.; maternal great-grandparents, Gary and Virginia Wilbanks and Gary and Debra Hawkins of Summersville; paternal great grandparents, Norma Jean Wilcox of Independence and Mary Wood of Bartlesville, Okla.; and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life was Monday, Sept. 16, at Bradford Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Purcell officiating.
