HHS senior Emily Harrison was named to the Class 2 District 3 team.

Four different players drove in multiple runs as the Houston softball team improved to 3-1 in conference play with a 12-6 victory Tuesday at Mountain Grove.

Taylor Franklin, Lizzy Swindell, Tommi Franklin and Emily Harrison had two RBIs apiece for the Lady Tigers, who won their third straight game. Taylor Franklin and Belle Knarr had three hits apiece.

HHS (7-7, 3-1 South Central Association) scored five times in the top of the first inning to take a commanding lead. Taylor Franklin, Swindell and Kaylea Preheim had consecutive singles before back-to-back doubles by Tommi Franklin and Belle Knarr.

After Mountain Grove scored three times in the second, the Lady Tigers answered with five more runs in the third. Harrison had a two-run single during the rally, and Taylor Franklin doubled home a pair of runs.

Swindell had a RBI triple in the sixth, and Hailey Dodson brought home a run with a sacrifice bunt in the seventh.

Harrison gave up seven hits and five earned runs in the complete-game victory. She struck out two and walked none.
