Robert Scully, 70, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Ozark Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 9, 1942, in New Bedford, Mass., son of Clifford and Stella Jenkinson Scully. He married Kathleen Scully.
He was a veteran of the Coast Guard as well and continued his service in the reserves.
After many years of traveling, he and his wife, Kathleen, settled in Summersville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, gardening and helping others.
He served many years with the New Bedford Fire Department. He was a court bailiff for Sheriff James Sigman of Texas County Sheriff’s Department as a court bailiff.
He enjoyed hunting and board games with his granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Kathleen of Summersville; a daughter, Tammy of Birch Tree; a son, Clifford of Jefferson City; three granddaughters; a grandson; and a brother, William Scully of Newton, Mass.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Bradford Funeral Home. Burial rites will be in New Bedford, Mass.
