The Tigers lost Friday night in Phelps County.

The Houston football’s season ended Thursday night with a 54-0 loss at Strafford.

The Indians, seeded second in the district and ranked third in Class 2, led 41-0 at the half as they advanced in Class 2 District 3. Houston finished its season with a 1-9 record.

Each of the district’s top seeds won on a muddy, damp Halloween night. Mountain View-Liberty beat Pleasant Hope 71-0; Mountain Grove shut out Cuba 57-0; and Willow Springs cruised past Fair Grove 48-6.

Fourth-seeded Willow Springs will travel to No. 1 Liberty and Strafford will host Mountain Grove in Wednesday’s semifinals. The district championship game is Nov. 11.

Strafford quarterback Jacob Wade was 10-for-16 passing for 225 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. He also rushed 11 times for 84 yards and a score.
