A Houston man is held in a double-stabbing incident, authorities said.

County authorities said a Houston man is behind bars at the Texas County Jail and facing felony charges following a stabbing incident Wednesday.

Texas County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Wes Campbell said deputies responded during the early morning hours of Dec. 4 to the L&R Trailer Park on Northview Lane in Houston.

Upon arrival, the officers located two men who had been stabbed by another during a fight. After an investigation, James Leyrer, 29, of Houston, was charged with two counts of first-degree assault and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.

The two victims were transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries and are expected to fully recover.

Leyrer is held on $750,000 bond. Houston police were also involved in the response. “We would like to thank them for their assistance in this case,” Sheriff James Sigman said.
