Wesley Darrell Hall, 70, son of Wesley and Alberta Good Hall,
died Dec. 23, 2013, at his home near Edgar Springs after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Hall was born in Ainsworth, Neb., on July 19, 1943. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1960, at age 17 and began his career as a pilot. His time was shorted by an injury sustained while stationed in the Vietnam and Cambodia area.
He worked for a time for Cessna in Kansas then moved to Missouri where he started a career driving semi-trucks.
Mr. Hall was married Jan. 7, 2000, to Maxine Davis at Hopewell Baptist Church, Big Piney. He retired on May 13, 2005.
He loved hunting, fishing, play his harmonica, singing and telling corny jokes.
Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, James Darrel Hall; four brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his wife; two sons from a previous marriage, David D. Hall of Colorado Springs, Colo., and John Hall of Pittsburg, Kan.; three sisters, Nora Smith of Klamathfalls, Ore., Alberta “PeeWee” Persons of Des Moines, Iowa, and Nadine Irwin of Ainsworth, Neb.; one brother, Charles Irwin of Ainsworth, Neb.; and four granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held later.
