Wanda Doris Marr Reed, 87, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014.
She was born Feb. 20, 1926, daughter of Lawrence and Lucy McCombs Marr. She and Robert Reed were married Dec. 18, 1944.
She accepted Christ as a youth. She joined Boone Creek Baptist Church as a young woman and was an active member for more than 50 years.
She lived all her life in the Licking community, graduating from Licking High School in 1944. She worked 24 years at Rawlings, although her favorite roles were as wife and mother.
She enjoyed working outside in the yard and gardens. Her favorite memories were worshipping God, fellowshipping with friends and neighbors and cooking fried chicken dinners for her family. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was particularly fond of puzzles and games, including Skip-Bo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sherman Marr; a sister, Ozell Towe; her husband, Robert Reed; and a son, Bobby.
Survivors include a daughter, Deloris Krewson; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Boone Creek Baptist Church with Brother Fred Bobe officiating. Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
