The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Saturday, March 29, accident injured one when the driver ran off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment.

A Summersville woman was hurt Saturday afternoon when a vehicle ran off a highway and struck an embankment, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Cpl. Curtis Haden said an eastbound 2002 Ford Expedition driven by Angela D. Johnson, 33, was injured in the crash on Highway W about six miles south of Summersville. 

Johnson was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains. 

The vehicle had extensive damage, Haden said. The Summersville Fire Department was called to the scene.
