Houston Police Department handled investigations in the last week.

The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department.

•Lorenzo A. Soto, 17, of 116 Park St. in Houston, was issued a citation for third-degree assault after an incident April 20 at an Ozark Terrace residence.

An investigating officer cited Soto after determining he had assaulted his mother’s 32-year-old boyfriend. He was taken to the Texas County Jail, fingerprinted and released.

•Adam M. Decker, 19, of 110 N. Friend St., Apt. 5, at Licking, was issued a citation April 20 for disobeying a traffic signal after an officer saw a yellow SUV travel run a red light on U.S. 63 at the intersection with Highway 17.

•Brandon J. Brim, 32, of 1305 W. Crest Drive at Houston, was issued three citations after an officer saw a green Chevrolet Silverado traveling erratically at about 8:30 p.m. April 18. 

After following the vehicle along several roadways, an officer made contact with Brim as he got out of it in front of his home. The officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted. During a subsequent search of Brim’s vehicle, a container of marijuana was found.

Brim was cited for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was taken to the Texas County Jail for a mandatory six-hour hold period.

•Jessica E. Ertman, 32, of 105 Acorn St. in Houston, was issued a citation April 11 for failure to register a motor vehicle.

•Jimmy D. Van Horn, 40, of 7227 Highway 137 at Raymondville, was arrested April 16 for having an active Texas County warrant for unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. An officer arrested Van Horn at the private probation office in Houston. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $100,000 bond.

•Thomas Stanton, 43, of 691 Faye St. in Houston, was arrested for having an active Texas County warrant for second-degree assault, driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, no insurance and no seatbelt. An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole office.

Stanton was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $250,000 bond.
