Ava High School senior Ben Loge, whose parents both graduated from Houston, recently signed to play baseball at Longview Community College.
Loge is the son of Jamie and Jana Loge. He is the grandson of Orvil and Donna Loge of Ava and Roxanne and the late Billie Bilderback Jr. of Houston.
The head baseball coach at Longview also has Houston ties. He is married to Krista (Weldon) Culbertson, who graduated from Houston.
Loge was the 2014 South Central Association baseball player of the year.
