A Plato man was moderately injured Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle accident south of Fort Leonard Wood.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Barrie L. Yardley, 52, was traveling northbound on Highway AW when a southbound mini van driven by Anita J. Taylor, 31, of Waynesville, turned into his path. Yardley’s vehicle then ran off the highway and began to overturn while striking a vehicle parked on private property.

Tpr. Chad Barclay said Yardley, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon. Taylor, who was also wearing a seat belt, was not injured. Both vehicles were totaled.

The Roby Fire Department assisted at the scene.
