IDA WILLSON

Ida Rose Newacheck Willson, 96, passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014.

She was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Hartman, Colo., daughter of Karl and Synthia Bennett Newacheck.

She was a housewife and homemaker until her children completed school. She then worked at HD Lee in Houston for eight years. She volunteered at the Houston Senior Center, where she taught a ceramic class. She spent the last nine years at Houston House.

She loved embroidery, sewing and playing the piano. She was also a Sunday school teacher.

She had a strong Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clark Willson; a sister, Delores Axelson; a daughter, Edith Boyd; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

Survivors include a brother, Karl Newacheck of Russell, Kan.; a sister, Mary David of Goodland, Kan.; a son, Carl Willson of Bucyrus; two daughters, Mary Wiseman of Bucyrus, and Juanita Duncan of Licking; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Services were Monday, Aug. 11, at Evans Funeral Home with Amy Dickens and Pastor David Barbee officiating. Burial was in German Cemetery White Rock.
