A Raymondville man is facing felony charges after county authorities determined he had inappropriate sexual communication with a 13-year-old girl.
Damian Neusbaum, 29, of 7562 Old Yukon Road, is charged with sexual enticement of a child (actor 21 years of age or older and child less the 15 years of age) after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation. The case began when three adults came to the TCSD office Aug. 18 and turned over a Kindle Fire that they said contained evidence of Neusbaum’s communication with the girl on her Facebook account.
Neusbaum was located later the same day when officers saw him driving by and initiated a traffic stop. According to a report, he admitted to his wrongdoing when he was interviewed about the case, and was jailed pending formal charges. His cellular phone was seized as evidence.
The arresting officer stated in a report that he believed Neusbaum to be a danger to the community because he had openly admitted to having a problem being sexually attracted to young children.Â
Authorities formally charged Neusbaum Aug. 19. He is held on $1 million bond.
