A Salem man was injured late Monday, Oct. 13, in a crash east of Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A search for a crash victim occurred late Monday night east of Licking, authorities said.

Tpr. Terry Nelson said an eastbound 1985 GMC Sierra driven by Jacob R. Conway, 18, travelled off Highway 32 about five miles east of Licking, overturned down an embankment and came to rest in a field.

A call was received from the driver, who reported the vehicle was in a field with its flashers on. The Licking Fire Department was called to aid in the search.

Nelson said Conway was taken with moderate injuries to Salem Memorial District Hospital by ambulance.  He said Conway was wearing a seat belt.
