The Houston seventh-grade volleyball team outlasted Raymondville 25-23, 10-25, 25-17 last Tuesday for their first victory of the season.
Viviana Guerra was the serving leader with nine points. Kelly Hubbs had eight and Savannah Ryan added seven.
Houston lost at Eminence 25-7, 25-12 last Monday and was defeated 25-14, 25-12 last Thursday by Liberty.
Janae Huff had 25 successful serves Saturday in the Cabool Tournament. Houston did not place.
EIGHTH GRADE: Darby Bell and Elayna Sisk each had kills in the Houston eighth grade’s 25-8, 25-18 loss last Tuesday to Raymondville.
The Lady Tigers lost 25-4, 25-10 last Monday at Eminence and were defeated 25-4, 25-2 last Thursday by Liberty.
On Saturday, Charlee Sue Jadwin had four aces in the Cabool Tournament. Houston lost all three matches.
