The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Springfield man was charged Sunday, April 3, on three charges in Texas County.

A 11-year-old boy died Wednesday in a Highway 32 accident about nine miles east of Lebanon.

Tpr. Jeffrey Ice of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Tyler A. Green was a passenger in a vehicle that went out-of-control on the ice-covered highway. Tyler is the grandson of Danny Delcour, pastor of Houston Free Will Baptist Church.

Ice said a 2003 Dodge Durango driven by Tyler’s mother, Sarah D. Green, 36, of Lebanon, was traveling westbound when it traveled into the path of an eastbound 1998 Ford Escape operated by Adele V. Berry, 36, of Lebanon. The Berry car then struck the right side of the SUV, Ice said.

The Laclede County coroner declared Tyler dead at the scene, Ice said.

Berry was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon with serious injuries. Tyler’s mother was transported with serious injuries to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Ice said everyone was wearing a seat belt, and both vehicles were totaled.
