A Cabool woman was seriously injured in a crash Friday afternoon on Highway PP about a mile north of her hometown.
Tpr. T.L. Brown said a northbound 2001 Lincoln Continental driven by Virginia L. Elliott, 69, of Cabool, crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound 1999 Peterbilt operated by Tony S. Machado, 55, of Cabool. Debris from the crash impacted a 2011 Ford Fusion driven by Jana E. Dobson, 47, of Cabool, traveling southbound.Â
Brown said the Lincoln continued northbound and caught fire. Elliott, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The other two drivers were not injured.Â
Assisting at the scene was Sgt. J.D. Wheeler and the Cabool Fire Department.
