Two Elk Creek residents were injured early Monday when their vehicle went out of control on an ice-covered roadway south of Rolla.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a southbound 1998 Ford Explorer driven by Alexander A. Direnzo, 20, travelled off the right side of the roadway at 12:30 a.m. and struck a rock bluff about 10 miles south of Rolla on U.S. 63, said Tpr. Robert Stark.
Two passengers, Jennifer S. Direnzo, 44, and Wyatt I. Direnzo, 11, sustained minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Phelps County Regional Medical Center at Rolla, Stark said.
All were wearing seat belts, he said. The vehicle had moderate damage.
