A fish fry announced tonight will aid the effort to place a Houston Middle School football team in the Ozarks Football League.

The event is 5-8 p.m. inside the Houston High School cafeteria. Cost is $8 and includes fish, fried potatoes, beans, cornbread, drink and dessert.

Proceeds will benefit the Houston football program, which is attempting to raise $5,000 to cover the costs of equipment and offset the price paid by players in the league. Just over $1,500 has been raised through an online fundraising website.

To purchase tickets in advance, see assistant coaches Eric Sloan or Vince McCrosky. They are also available from Russell Gaither. For more information, call 417-217-0894.
