A Cabool woman was arrested on two charges Saturday, May 21, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

A Licking woman faces three charges after allegedly striking a pedestrian and leaving the scene Wednesday night in Lincoln County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Jennifer M. Love, 28, was charged with second-degree felony assault, driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. She was taken to the Lincoln County Jail and released.

According to the patrol, Love, was traveling northbound on Mark Avenue when she swerved to avoid a pedestrian. The man, Gary E. Weekley, 33, of Louisiana, Mo., moved in the same direction as the vehicle and was struck by Love’s 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Weekly was taken by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur with moderate injuries.
