ZELTA GARRISON

Zelta Mae York Garrison, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at her home in Licking.

She was born April 5, 1933, in Licking, daughter of the late Cyrus and Lydia Hebblethwaite York. She and Loren Garrison were married March 31, 1951, at the courthouse in Salem.

She was baptized into the Assembly of God Church in Licking in October 1982.

She worked at Rawlings Sporting Goods as an inspector for many years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was always happy when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. Flowers were her hobby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Garrison; her parents; two brothers, Lloyd York and Jim York; and four infant siblings.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Goins and Cathy Garrison; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Betty James, Mary York and Bill York of Raymondville, Patsy Hood, Martha Ice and John York of Licking; Grace Dunkin of Wentzville, Wesley York of Witchita Falls, Texas, and Ruby Craig of Winona: a special friend, Margaret Burch; and many other family members and friends.

Services were Saturday, May 9, at the Licking Assembly of God Church with Pastor Paul Richardson officiating. Burial was at the Mount Olive Cemetery in Dent County.
