Betty Marie Shoush, 85, daughter of Fred and Flora (Phillips) Stenger, was born April 10, 1930, in Houston, Mo. She passed away on July 3, 2015, in Houston, Mo.
Betty attended school in the Houston area and graduated from Houston High School. She worked as a secretary at Fort Leonard Wood for many years and then worked for the USDA in Houston until retiring. She then began her second career as a realtor.
She married William B. Shoush on April 12, 1952.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings, Wesley, Bill and Hazel.
She is survived by a brother, John Stenger and his family; a daughter, Koni Bonnard and husband, John; two granddaughters, Karla Bonnard-Head and Kristi Gaskill; and four great grandchildren, Conner, Abigail, Parker and Drew.
She was a lover of all animals and enjoyed gardening and helping friends and family. She was a hard worker, kind yet strong and fiercely independent. She believed in honesty and that a person should be true to their word. She always loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by many whose lives she touched.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Haley officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time. Services and cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
