Marcella May Shoults Wilcox, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015.

She was born Nov. 24, 1939, in Hartshorn, daughter of Elmer and Audrey Briggs Shoults. She and Donald Ray Wilcox were married Aug. 11, 1957.

While living in St. Louis, she worked at Champ Items and Lee Rowans. When the family moved to Summersville, she worked at Angelica Uniform Factory and D&K.

She loved to cook, garden, grow flowers, read books, sew and make crafts, ceramics and silk flower arrangements.

She accepted Christ as her Savior during bible school in June 1957 and was baptized in the Current River at Akers. She was a member of the Valley Center Church.

She preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald and Denver Shoults.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; two children, Roger and Robin Salyards; three grandchildren; a step granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Angel Van Shoults of Mountain View, Charles Shoults of Summersville and James Shoults, David Shoults and Frankie Shoults of Hartshorn; two sisters, Acleda Menz of Raymondville and Darlene Pethrus of Ventura , Calif.; and a host of other family members.

Services were Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Valley Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Burial was in Valley Center Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
