A Houston man was injured Thursday night in Greene County when he was ejected from his vehicle after it collided with a deer.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Emmett G. Monks, 68, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital following the 8:30 p.m. accident one mile north of Rogersville on Highway D. Monks, who was wearing a seat belt, had moderate injuries.
The patrol said Monks was traveling eastbound when his vehicle struck a deer and traveled off the roadway. He was then ejected from the 2002 Honda Goldwing.
The vehicle had extensive damage.
