Two persons were arrested by Houston police on outstanding warrants in the last week. 

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Bryan J. Gilpatrick, 30, of 20151 Evans Road at Yukon, was arrested Sept. 10 for having an active Summersville Police Department warrant for failure to pay fines on charges of driving without a license, expired license plate and speeding.

An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole office after being advised Gilpatrick was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $612 bond.

•William E. Hamby, 46, of 326 S. Main St. in Houston, was arrested Sept. 3 for having an active Texas County warrant for possession of a controlled substance and speeding.

An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole office after being advised Hamby was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $50,000 bond.

•Stephanie R. Cornman, 36, of 230 Airport Road in Houston, was issued a citation Aug. 24 for allowing an animal to run at large.

•Linda R. James, 67, of 16165 Highway 32 in Licking, was issued a citation for disobeying an electric signal after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Holder Avenue at about 5:20 p.m. Sept. 9.

•An anonymous caller reported at about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 5 that a woman had been using meth in her Ozark Street home in the presence of her two children.

Two officers went to the residence and made contact with the woman, 37, who said she hadn’t used meth “for some time.” She gave consent for the home to be searched, and while one officer searched, the other stayed in the living room with the kids.

The search revealed two bags containing meth and several items of paraphernalia. The items were sent to a Missouri State Highway Patrol lab for testing.

The officers advised the woman she wouldn’t be arrested on the spot, but a report would be sent to the county prosecutor seeking felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

•Jerry L. Simmons, 39, of 777 Highway 17, Apt. 124, in Houston, was issued a citation for private peace disturbance yelling and swinging a wooden stick around at a man and woman during an incident at a Highway 17 residence at about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 22.
